This was a great read as we build products (www.crux.now) that aim to help people contemplate the most complex current events

I totally resonated with this. I also get Richard Rohr's Daily Meditations (and yes, I am so very behind in reading), but the encouragement to be gentle with the questions and mystery and paradox and pain...it's a sane way through. Thank you.

I love it. Funnily enough, it's the first time I read about this and yet I did it anyway ! When working out, I like to start with a question, an issue, and I just ask my unconscious to take it into account. I leave it there. I don't think about it. Usually, the answer, the insight, or even the "you don't need this answer after all" feeling or "there's another question behind the first" insight comes after. Like around the corner or in the metro later that day. This is contemplation, yes. I like that it is deliberate. Thank you ! PS: I also love the fact you share that books are messengers. I always say: the message will find you.

I love that. We really don’t give the unconscious enough credit. Get out of the way and it will do its work!

Excellent. At Pages By The Sea our first line is 'Let's contemplate Death'. Our logo is designed to envision you sitting by the seaside contemplating.

Thank you for breaking the word down so thoroughly. I mention contemplation constantly in my writing and this, all this that you have written, is exactly what I envision and feel when I mention contemplation.

I completely agree that it is a vital part of a fuller life. I too am slowing down this summer. All the best to you.
