Writing about death has made me more creative than I’ve been in years! And now, with the rise of AI and the ever-increasing infiltration of technology into every aspect of our lives, I feel an even stronger pull to create, to nature, to my hands, and to something real.

This piece also reminded me of how we play and create so freely as kids, but somewhere along the way, we lose that sense of freedom. I remember starting as an art minor in college, and how that was perceived as unserious, not practical, or unimportant. But what could be more important than learning to see, feel, and create in the face of death?
