We may not control the tides, but we can choose how we meet the waves. Carolyn, thank you for the reminder to stay present, to love, to create—even as the world shifts around us.
This article resumes exactly the state of mind that i am in. Reading you always gives me hope and reassure me in the fact that i am not alone. Thank you very much!
This article hit at the perfect time for me this morning. I woke up really early and decided to just get out and see the sunrise on this daylight savings swap day. No phone or anything. It was really peaceful and relaxing just getting out and watching it come up. I already know that but don't make it a priority to go watch as often as I should. When I came home, this is what popped up in my feed. Very timely and spot on!
Now, I feel inspired to watch the sunrise, too. There’s something about those quiet moments—just being present with the world waking up—that feels so grounding. Thank you for sharing this.
" How do we tap into the creative potential of this transitional time? It starts, I think, with simply holding the possibility of something new. We can remember that death and birth are two sides of a coin, and that Winter is always followed by Spring. We can focus our gaze on the signs of new life that are emerging, and the good things might become possible with the breakdown of the old ways. We can retrain our gaze towards what preserves and honors life, rather than what destroys it. We can, in the words of Mr. Rogers, “find the helpers”—and when we’re ready, when we’re able, we can become the helpers".
So, practice your own words and fight the external influences that seem to shape your life. Yes, death will come soon enough, so "BLOOM WHERE YOU'RE PLANTED!"
